Suggested Teammates

  • Xiao benefits greatly from Sucroses ability to gather groups of enemies together through the use of her skill and elemental burst so that Xiao can follow up with his elemental burst and destroy the smaller mobs in one fell swoop. It's also worth mentioning that when you use two anemo characters in your team composition the elemental resonance will provide you with a decrease to Stamina Consumption by 15%. An Increase to Movement SPD by 10%. And a Shortened Skill CD by 5%.

  • Provided that Xingqiu is under the effects of Sucroses passive, which allows her to boost the party's elemental mastery; Xingqiu's elemental burst will be able to do much more damage any time that it causes an elemental reaction such as vaporize or electro-charged.

  • Using Bennett allows you to provide your party with an attack bonus while they're within the radius of his elemental burst. When used in unison with Sucrose you'll have both a way of boosting your party's attack, and elemental mastery which can drastically improve the effectiveness of any main DPS characters you plan to use alongside them. Bennett will also provide your team with a means of healing without the use of food items.

  • Kazuha is capable of providing the team with an elemental damage bonus for any element he causes a swirl reaction with, and this effect scales off of his elemental mastery; It's important to note here, that the elemental mastery bonus provided by Sucrose will not scale this effect. They're still very effective when used in conjunction with one another however, due to their impressive AoE attacks which can gather smaller enemies together.

  • By using Fischl to summon Oz you can consistently apply electro status to enemies even while Fischl is off of the field. This allows Sucrose to more reliably activate swirl reactions which will increase her damage output, as well as give her a definitive way of activating her Catalyst Conversion talent; which will provide the party another 50 elemental mastery to the element she triggered a swirl reaction with for 8 seconds.

  • Chongyun's elemental skill is great for making sure you can apply cryo to enemies with ease. This will make it exceptionally more simple to cause elemental reactions; which is a necessity if you intend to see any DPS improvements from the elemental mastery bonuses that Sucrose will provide. It's also worth mentioning that the shatter effect, which takes place when a claymore user attacks a frozen enemy, is only scaled based on the elemental mastery of the character causing the shatter; making Sucrose's passives much more relevant when used in a team that allows Chongyun to apply shatter often.

Summary

"Sucrose may not be much of an extrovert in public, but as they say — it's always the quiet ones...."

Pros:

  • Good grouping, buffing, and debuffing.
  • Good energy generation can act as a battery.

Cons:

  • Low personal damage.
  • High cooldowns.

Building tips:

  • Sucrose is an Anemo DPS and party buffer, she has good ratios in her abilities but very high cooldowns which make her pure DPS builds suboptimal. Her kit rewards her for building high amounts of Elemental Mastery, this way her best Artifact set is very much set in stone as the Viridescent Venerer set which is almost always best in slot for Anemo characters.
  • Sucrose works best with very high amounts of Elemental Mastery which she wants as substat in every artifact, she benefits a lot too from Energy Recharge and regular offensive stats but these are not a priority.
  • Sucrose can make use of any Catalyst that offers her preferred substats primarily Elemental Mastery, and some Catalysts with Energy Recharge too. One exception to this is the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers Catalyst which allows her to increase her buffing capabilities.

Gameplay tips:

  • Sucrose Basic, Charged, Skill and Burst have different ICD counters, her Attack follows the classic 3 attacks rule, but her skill and burst don't have any ICD counter so as long as the enemy has an element on them they'll get swirled by each cast of her skill and each tick of her burst.
  • Sucrose passives activate even if she's not on the field, the only effect that requires her to be on the field is the Viridescent Venerer effect.

Constellations power:

  1. Great quality of life constellation which will yield more energy particles in an encounter.
  2. One more hit of our burst is always welcomed which means one more swirl and longer effects durations when she's off the field.
  3. Our skill is powerful but this won't do too much.
  4. Good for burst driver or DPS sucrose otherwise not too useful.
  5. Levels for our burst.
  6. Bonus damage is good but 20% is not very noticeable.
