Albedo and Zhongli form an impenetrable offensive / defensive combo, while activating Geo resonance. Their powerful Geo abilities, combined with their godly energy generation, means that this duo will obliterate your opponents big or small; of course these two characters are deemed some of the best supports in the game so if anything survives the initial onslaught they will have to face a very buffed up main DPS.
-
Zhongli has the best shield in the game bar none, his offensive abilities while not shabby are not S tier. Hu-Tao will take the offensive lead in your team, while protected by the best shield mora can buy. Of course, Zhongli other supportive abilities will help Hu-Tao do her job with extreme ease providing her energy recharge, and CC, In case she ever needs some time to cool down
-
Xiao is another offensive powerhouse, which will make great use of Zhongli's defense, and also the resistances shred he provides; making the best use possible of his shield. Xiao's energy regeneration is not bad itself which will keep Zhongli ready to rain meteors down his opponents
-
Bennett will allow Zhongli to hit even harder with both his elemental burst and his elemental skill. the nature of snapshotting in this game means that if you plant your pillars under the influence of Bennett they will deal buffed up damage along their whole duration even after Bennett's burst has run it's course. 2 Geo 2 Pyro characters are also one of the most offensive party composition possible in Genshin Impact, Zhongli and Bennett will make great foundations for such a party.
-
Klee is a mechanically intensive character to get the most DPS out of, Zhongli's strong shield will allow Klee to deal the most damage without having to worry about being interrupted, while shredding the enemies Pyro resistance, Zhongli's burst will also mean that Klee can reposition herself in case she finds herself in the middle of a pack of enemies.
-
Mona and Zhongli are great characters in quickswamp comps, given their powerful elemental bursts and abilities that boost the damage not only of their own kits but of the whole party. Mona can also be used simply as a support to boost his damage given the excellent multipliers on his elemental burst.
-
Noelle and Zhongli work great together as an unbreakable defensive core, with excellent DPS. Depending on your constellations their defensive capabilities can range from the best in the game, to absolutely ridiculous. not only their shields will never break but potentially they will get healed up instead of damaged while they are being hit.
Use this combo to just plow through any opponents without ever having to dodge. Noelle also bennefits a lot from Geo resonance, as well as from Zhongli's excellent Geo particle generation, while Zhongli benefits by letting Noelle do all the hard work and just coming in for the kill once his elemental burst is off cooldown. -
The traveller is an often overlooked character with excellent multipliers in his Geo form. With the traveller's help, Zhongli can have the maximum number of Geo constructs on the battlefield at any constellation level, allowing him to do a lot of passive damage this way.
When combined they have excellent energy generation allowing each other to fire their powerful elemental bursts off cooldown. The only weakness of this combo is some downtime with your elemental skills, but don't worry, you can sit back and relax because your Geo constructs will be doing all the work you. -
Venti and Zhongli paired together just means you've activated god mode in this game, Geo and Anemo won't interact together so you won't have elemental reactions for thousands of damage, what you will have is the power of the gods at your finger tips. In this combo the enemies will basically be unable to move at all, by spacing your skills correctly you'll make sure that once the opponents land from Venti's burst, they'll be petrified before even touching the ground, after the petrification runs its course you can follow with Venti's Hold elemental skill, and Zhongli's Hold Skill, once they land again Venti's burst will be ready to fire again, completing the cycle of hax. This is not the fastest combo but sure it's satisfying!.

Elemental skill
Dominus Lapidis
Press: Commands the omnipresent power of the earth to solidify into a Stone Stele, standing 30 seconds, dealing AoE Geo DMG at the creation.
Hold: Causes nearby Geo energy to explode, causing the following effects:
- If their maximum number hasn't been reached, creates a Stone Stele.
- Creates a shield of jade. The shield's DMG Absorption scales based on Zhongli's Max HP. Possesses 150% DMG Absorption against all Elemental and Physical DMG.
- Deals AoE Geo DMG.
- If there are nearby targets with the Geo element, it will drain a large amount of Geo element from a maximum of 2 such targets. This effect does not cause DMG.
The Stone Stele is considered a Geo Construct that can both be climbed and used to block attacks.
Only one Stele created by Zhongli himself may initially exist at any one time.
Jade Shield:
Possesses 150% DMG Absorption against all Elemental and Physical DMG.
Characters protected by the Jade Shield will decrease the Elemental RES and Physical RES of opponents in a small AoE by 20%. This effect cannot be stacked.
