  • Through the use of Chongyun's elemental skill you can apply tons of Superconduct elemental reactions during Razors elemental burst; due to the cryo enchantment provided by Chongyun. This will allow you to do a small amount of AoE cryo damage several times throughout the duration of their effects. As well as apply a 40% physical damage reduction upon enemies for eight seconds; Which you can make great use of when the cryo enchantment dissipates.

  • Kaeya is one of the most reliable Cryo applicators for Razor, Applying super conduct should be your number one priority when playing Razor, so this makes Kaeya one of Razor's best supports, Kaeya's burst has some pretty hefty multipliers too and razor will be hugging the enemies all the time, allowing it to deal its maximum damage.

  • Ganyu is another great option to apply the Cryo element, her burst is unobtrusive and will run its course through all of Razor's burst, her energy generation is very poor compared to Kaeya though.

  • Diona like Zhongli will keep Razor protected and healthy, bonus points for providing superconduct by herself allowing for more freedom in teambuilding.

  • Albedo is an very powerful sub DPS that doesn't need to be on the field for too long, he will plant his flower every 30 seconds and make a big contribution to Razor's DPS without having to worry too much about switching characters.

  • Razor has some energy problems, Fischl will alleviate these while improving his DPS, Razor with his high attack speed with make full use of Oz's support.

  • Xingqiu will offer a lot of protection to razor while boosting his basic attacks, razor's very good attack speed will allow him to use Xingqiu's burst to its fullest potential.

  • Xinyan is a great partner to Razor at high constellations given her Phys res shred, and her very own need of having a super conduct partner. Pairing them together means that low Physical res enemies like Cicin mages will melt even faster now.

Summary

"I have iron claws and teeth of thunder. I protect you."

Pros:

  • Good early carry.
  • Decent single target damage and energy generation.

Cons:

  • Requires a lot of field time investment making him hard to fit in most team comps.

Building tips:

  • Razor's best build as a physical carry and a Basic Attack based character allows him to use many different artifact sets. Depending on if you are willing to invest time on charging up it's passive or not you can use the Pale Flame x4, or you can use Pale Flame x2 and Bloodstained Chivalry x2 for immediate power.
  • Razor as a main DPS requires the ATK and Crit substats, while also making use of the Physical Damage substat.
  • Razor has a wide range of Claymores to choose from. Any weapon that offers him the stats he desires ATK, Crit, or Physical DMG Bonus. An exception is the Skyward Pride is an excellent weapon with the Energy Recharge substat.

Gameplay tips:

  • Razor has great attack speed and Poise, this makes him a great option to be the driver of elemental bursts like Beidou's or Thoma's.
  • Razor has huge recovery frames the final attack of his attack string, you should dash cancel after you've finished your main combo to improve your DPS.
  • Just as the point before Claw and Thunder has also a lot of recovery frames and should be dash canceled.
  • Claw and Thunder has a very good multipliers when held, and you should take complete advantage of this fact by using its held version before you burst, as it will grant you a complete reset on it.

constellations power:

  1. 10% additive bonus damage, terrible.
  2. Too conditional Crit Rate increase.
  3. Our burst stops scaling in attack speed at lvl 10 sadly.
  4. Excellent defense shred.
  5. Our skill has very good multipliers.
  6. Electro damage won't scale at all on Razor's usual builds.

Constellations.
